Introduction

As you will know if you follow my blog or my YouTube channel, very recently I was annualizing my first model of the brand, the Kubey KU208. I was delighted with the model for its finish, assembly and materials used, apart from being excited to have my first recurve blade in a pocket knife (and I have a few, but I did not have any like that).

It is time to test a second model to see if my good impressions of the first model are confirmed, this time it is a fixed knife.

First, comment that it is a one-piece knife with contained dimensions. I am not talking about it being a neck knife, but rather that it is a little smaller than a “big” knife, so its weight is also contained.

The first thing that catches your eye is the design of the blade, which I can tell you is very well designed for fine work, but we will see that in the handling and use section.

First of all, I must mention that there are two versions of this knife, one with a stone finish and D2 steel and the other with a mirror effect finish on AUS-10 steel, and that the jimping on the spine of the blade and the handle also varies. It should be clear that my model is with a mirror effect finish.

Since I started with this blog and with my YouTube channel a lot has rained, many new brands have appeared since then, but some of them after their research I have not wanted to try because they did not convey enough confidence. Today I decided to try a model of the Kubey brand, from which I had been observing its models for some time, some with a different and brave design, which pleases me.

Among the brand's models, one of the ones that caught my attention is this one, the KU208 for reasons that I will explain below, join me on this trip...

 Of course one of the reasons why this particular model appealed to me is because of its design, I really like it. The truth is that I wanted a knife with a recurve blade for a long time, which is an edge with a double curve, in the shape of an “S” to understand us. Although slightly, it has a little kukri shape, and believe me, it is not easy to find that shape in a Chinese knife of any brand.
