Review HX Outdoors D-161
Review HX Outdoors D-161
Introduction
Hx Outdoors is a company that does not take long in traditional Chinese
stores, but it has made a niche in the market thanks mainly to its variety of fixed
knives. It also has folder knives, but what most differentiates it from other
brands is that they have focused a lot on taking models of fixed knives.
Let's see how is the tactical knife model D-161...
Exterior design and
appearance
Although in the market of the cutlery abound especially models oriented to
bushcraft, that is a fashion that floods everything, it is necessary to
remember that another typology exists in cutlery, tactical, military, of
hunting... in the model of today, I believe that it is seen that it is a
tactical "pure race".

Introduction
And we continue with party titanium...
This time i want to present a small folder knife with an
air of greatness. Although my tastes are more by big knives, i must recognize
that sometimes don't want or need hold too much weight and not know if you will
have to use a knife, in that case you can take one like this without you
realize, as in a kit survival, for example.
Let's see offered by this piece, with some surprises...
Exterior design and
appearance
Altough
we have already discussed previously other small knives, which today we respect
has some unique features so far in the blog and YouTube channel.

Introduction
Not long ago we were reviewing the great Y-Start LK5011. Well ... it turns
out it has a sister, identical to it but with another blade morphology, and
equally aggressive... do we see it?
Welcome to the titanium festival...
Exterior design and
appearance
We are going to do the review bearing in mind the previous revision of the
LK5011, a knife with TC4 titanium handle, ceramic ball bearing, flipper and an
"american tanto" blade that scared.

Review Y-Start LK5011
Introduction
Throughout
more than two years of work in this blog we have seen many wonderful knives at
a fairly low price. Now is the time to see what Chinese brands offer us in
premium low-cost ranges.
Let's
start a series of product reviews with titanium, bigger words. We all know the
brand Y-Start, has had some of the most resounding successes of recent times
with models Jin01 and Jin02 for example, very well made folder knives with an
incredible price carrying steel D2 and with a magnificent design and finishes.
Today we are going to see one of its newest models of its high end, ceramic
bearings, titanium... the Y-Start LK5011.
Welcome
to the titanium party...
Exterior design and appearance
The
folder knife is visually different from what we usually see, it's like seeing a
costume from a famous fashion designer, you know you're looking at something
else and it's not the one you usually buy at the mall. It really has a simple
design but that attracts without being able to avoid it, is based on the
japanese kwaiken knife, which was a small dagger that carried the samurai class
hidden under the kimono, for example for self-defense. Hence the small width of
the blade and handle occupying very little space, as well as a rather
intimidating blade.

Review Enlan L05-1
Review Enlan/Bee L05-1
Introduction
We already know the Enlan brand
and have reviewed several of its models EL (extra large, extra large) and EW.
Today we have to check if one of the flagship models of the brand included in
the L series (large) offers us the same sensations as its older sisters.
Without a doubt the L05 model is
one of the best selling Enlan brand over time, for its price and size. I must
clarify that the brand Enlan and Bee are the same and there is no difference in
the knife apart from the logo.
Exterior design and appearance
The model Enlan / Bee L05 is in
two versions:
L05: with G10 handle in black and
hollow grind.
L05-1: with wooden handles and
full flat grind.

Review Ganzo G8012-DY
Review Ganzo G8012-DY
Introduction
How many and how many quality knives can be found among quality chinese brands and how much we have enjoyed over the
years... but, if you look, there are infinitely fewer knives to choose than folder
knives. One of the dreams of many people has always been to imagine Ganzo or
Sanrenmu (for example) to make a knife, to see a quality knife made by brands
that make good folder knives. That dream has come.
A while ago, Ganzo released its G801, but for some reason did not reach the
usual stores where we bought, it was difficult to get. However, that has
changed with the G8012...
Exterior design and
appearance
First of all to clarify that the old G801 and this G8012 have enormous
similarities, but they are not the same, in the new version they have changed
things like a point less pronounced (less penetrating but stronger), or the
detail of the clip for the whetstone in the sheath, the rest are the same.

Review Ganzo G101S – 2019S
Introduction
We've all heard that
Ganzo makes good multi-tools, which are fine for the price as their flagship
G302. But ... will it be worth the cheapest multi-tool they have? Is it better
a multi-tool without a brand for the same price as the G101S - 2019S? To these
questions i would like to answer in this review and in some following in which
i will make tests comparing it with others without brand.
Exterior design and appearance
Well, first of all
clarify that this same model you can find it as G101S and also as G2019S. Let's
continue…

Review Ganzo-Firebird F729
Review Ganzo-Firebird F729
Introduction
There are folk knives. There are
knives that sell a lot. But there are knives belonging to the olympus of a
particular brand ...
If we talk about Enlan we will
come to mind EL01, if we talk about Sanrenmu is inevitable that we come to mind
the 710/7010, 7056 and 763/7063. But we came to Ganzo, and i think there will
be no one who does not agree that some of the Ganzo olympus blades (in
popularity) can be perfectly Ganzo G704, G720 and G729 (among others).
Well, for this G729 we are going
to speak today, more specifically of its Firebird version, which, as you
already know, is the new brand that will represent Ganzo from now on.
Let's see why the G729 is so
popular and if there are changes in the F729 ...
Exterior design and appearance
Of course, the section of
aesthetics makes clear the reason for its success. Its appearance is very
similar to the Spyderco Paramilitary 2, and I say very similar only because it
is not a clone, but very very inspired by it.

Review Harnds CK9168 Talisman
Review Harnds CK9168 Talisman
Introduction
The knife that i present to you
today, can not be any other than... special. Special in different senses that
we will be weeding little by little. The most ambitious of Harnds to date.
The Harnds brand is known for
folder knives with quite success as the Harnds Ck6015 Viper or the Harnds
CK7006 Blazer (the latter with a lot of quality but not much sold for its size
and weight, one thing is a critical success and another a sales success... ).
With the Talisman model we have the highest level knife of the brand so far,
leaving the group Ganzo, Enlan etc. And trying to compete with brands like Real
Steel.
Let us begin…
Exterior design and appearance
Well, I have to say, that in
designs there is nothing written, and some can be very attractive to some
people and the same be horrible to others. In my case, as i have said before,
my favorite opening of a folder knife is with a flipper, although sometimes it
does not go as smoothly as it should and leaves the blade half open or you have
to use a lot of wrist. I like "flippers" for both aesthetics and
functionality, for me is the most comfortable way to open. But aesthetically
there is something of a knife that i can like even more, and that's when the
incredible combination of "flipper" + "absence of thumb studs"
is given, i love that. But unfortunately there are hardly any models in Chinese
quality brands (Enlan, Ganzo, Harnds, Sanrenmu...) that meet those two
requirements, in fact, one of the things i love about the Enlan EL01 is that.
Well, here we have another model with "flipper" and no "thumb
studs", creating an impressive aesthetic and even giving the feeling that
the blade is going to be able to use more, for example if you pierce deeply,
the “thumb studs” will not interfere.

Review Ganzo G720 VS Ganzo G722
Review Ganzo G720 VS Ganzo G722
Introduction
The g720 and g722 are the
"tank" reference of Ganzo, its heaviest folder knives, large and
strong in theory. However, if we look at sales we will see that the G720 is
much much more sold. Why?.
The reason for this article is to
answer that question, and see if it has logical motives that behavior. Also
give my opinion on which one seems better to me.
Exterior design and appearance
I must say, that the answer to
why the G720 has been sold much more almost i could response it already, it’s
very simple: when an affordable folder knife is based on the appearance of
another "Premium" range, sales are usually triggered, and The Lion
Steel SR1 is to blame for being so popular. But let's investigate a little
more...
Above G720. Below G722.

Review Enlan EW054
Review Enlan EW054
Introduction
Enlan, a very popular brand once
but after the unbridled ascent of Ganzo and the lack of its models in the usual
stores, has made it fall in popularity. I do not know why many of its EL series
models can not easily be obtained in stores where we normally get our folder
knives and fixed knives but it's a real shame.
Today we are going to see one of its
new models of the series EW and to review what it offers us at present Enlan.
Exterior design and appearance
Well, i have to say that the
appearance is impressive, if you like folder knives a little oriented to
self-defense and good size, few options will look similar in any brand.

Review Sanrenmu 7098 LUE-PP-T5
Review Sanrenmu 7098 LUE-PP-T5
Introduction
Again we return with a company
that can never be ignored, Sanrenmu. Today i present one of its most complete
multi-tool models that have in its catalog (except for the w340, w350 ... more
similar to Victorinox type knives but without locking).
Today's model could be said to be
a hybrid between a miniature tactical knife and a traditional multi-tool knife.
Let's see what offers us ...
Exterior design and appearance
First of all i want to comment
that there are several versions of this model, this is the LUE T5 but there is
another model without saw and the rest visually looks exactly the same but it
does not have a lock on its blade called SUX T4. This is important because the
T5 has two blades with each lock system and the T4 has a single blade without
locking (slip joint), so i think it is very important.

Review Y-Start Jin02
Review Y-Start Jin02
Introduction
Of these last months, undoubtedly
one of the folder knives that more popularity has reached, even more than some
of the new models of Ganzo, is the model that i bring you today.
Y-Start is a brand that, having
very few models available in stores lets say "standard" (because it
has more models that for some reason do not arrive and we have to resort to
third-party vendors to get them) is slowly breaking through.
I think the Jin01 model has been
a turning point in the brand, not yet very well known, but with the Jin02 model
seems to have reached great heights of popularity.
Today we will check whether this
huge sudden fame of the Y-Start Jin02 is deserved or not...
Exterior design and appearance
The folder knife enters through
the eyes, that's how it is. It has a classic but very elegant style,
emphasizing a specially designed design. It is not a “tactical” knife obvious
at first sight but it is also not suffering from anything to not be...
