Review Harnds
CK7006
Introduction
For a few years now,
user requests that they wanted less weight and size in their pieces have had an
effect, and manufacturers and designers have followed suit.
However, there are
knives from the golden age of chinese cutlery that are already legend. This is
one of them and I think I owed this review-tribute to it.
It is one of the most
mythical Harnds knives, the Blazer CK7006, because knives of this size are no longer
made (or very few). But there is another good news: it maintains the price of
that wonderful time.
Exterior design and appearance
I have no doubt that
the first thing that occurs to someone who sees it for the first time is
something of the “what a beast” type, and that is that its dimensions are
impressive.
We have a “clip
point” blade of a generous length and thickness, Hollow grind and 9cr18mov
steel. At this point we must stop to explain that at the time to which the
knife belongs, D2 steel was not practically used as it is now, but almost all
were Chinese steels of the type 7cr17mov, 8cr13mov, 8cr14mov, 9cr13mov and
9cr18mov, this being last one of the best that could be found. Of course this,
among other things, also affected the fact that the parts were cheaper before
than now,
